If your are interested in a good french restaurant with good gastronomy, you must visit "Les tables Rondes" in Bargemon.
We were 5 adults and 1 child. For the child we ordered a very good home made Lasagne bolognese.
All 5 adults ordered "Menu du chef" for 26,50 euro with is a very fair price combared to the quality of the food.
We had a little starter with tapenade. After that 4 small appetizers. We had 3 different first courses: 1) Lettuce, tomatoes, mozzarella, basilic, melon, mountain cured ham, 2)Crispy baked fresh goat’s cheese, phyllo pastry, Bargemon’s honey caramelised and nuts,pears1 and 3) Pan-sauted king prawns with garlic and persley , flamed with pastis.
For the main course, we had:
1) Crisply leg of duck simmered and preserved in its fat, sweet sauge sauce, 2) Roasted salmon fillet, sweet peppers cream and 3) Red mullet fillet, crystallized lemon sauce, fresh tomatoes and oriental spices
For dessert we had:
Crêpes Suzette maison and Déclinaison autour de la fraise.
I must say that the restaurant has a high standard and great gastronomy.
The price for 5 adults and a child with 2 beers, 2 soda and 2 bottles of wine were 198 euro. Very fair prices combared to the good food.
